Since first touching the decks, Mr. Dibbs has only gone by one rule: there are no rules. And it is this rule that has gotten him where he is today. In his 15-plus-year career, Dibbs has been one of the forerunners of taking the art of DJing to new levels. From his Turntable Scientific mixes, which changed the way mix tapes were made, to being the middle ground between hardcore music and hip hop. With his bringing the mosh pit into hip hop shows, Dibbs is building a bridge that link these two musical genres like nobody else can. He also founded the Legendary 1200 hobo crew in 1993, which has an all-star list of DJs and rappers, including Buck 65, Sixtoo, Abilities, Skratch Bastid, Signify, Eyedea, and Slug. A native of Cincinnati, Dibbs put his town on the map when he co-founded Scribble Jam, America’s largest hip hop festival, with Fat Nick and Rapes in 1995. It is a little-known fact that Scribble Jam was a magazine before it was ever the three-day event that hosts over 5000 hip hop fans yearly and has seen the likes of Sage Francis, Eminem, Juice, Rhymefest, and many others.

As a musician, Dibbs has done the music for the Scribble Jam videos and also for numerous skate videos, such as DC Shoes, Alien Workshop, Transworld, and Bad Luck 13 Riot Extravaganza. He was first singed to 4 Ways to Rock and, along with Buck 65, did all the music for Len, including their chart-topping hit “Steal My Sunshine.” Dibbs has played with every name possible in the hip hop world, and it was in 1999 when he hooked up with Slug and Atmosphere to be their tour DJ. The combination of their fan bases is what sky rocketed Atmosphere into being the biggest indie group ever. As a three-year Warped Tour veteran, Dibbs has also been abroad with three world tours and has played everywhere from Dallas, Texas, to Tokyo, Japan. Mr. Dibbs is currently the only solo DJ signed to Rhymesayers, has 30 releases under his belt, was ranked 6th DJ/Turntablist in the world by Spin magazine, and 1st by Thrasher magazine. He has also been seen on Jimmy Kimmel Live, MTV, and MTV 2.

Currently, Dibbs is touring with New York based El-P of Definitive Jux records.
